Although, his birthday isn't officially celebrated by everyone until next Monday, today is his actual birthday. (You know. I think it's strange how the government/ whoever manages these holidays does that. Like making a holiday not celebrated on the specific day. o_o. Like they always make  the celebration on a Monday or something. Like what's wrong with today? o_o. Strange. Sorry for drifting off topic. :p.). On January 15th, 1929, Martin Luther King Jr. was born. Because of what he did during his lifetime, people of all race were finally able to gain equality. (Or at least, finally gain more rights.). We should never forget all his great deeds. Happy birthday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. :D. (If he was alive today, he would be 84 years old. :o.).
Personally, I admire his courage and bravery for standing up for what he believed in. He believed in nonviolent protests to get his message heard. :o. I think that's pretty admirable. And he stuck with his word. He did numerous nonviolent protests during his lifetime. And he finally got his message heard. :D.

'merica! i wonder how much other ethnicities (other than blacks and whites) were treated at that time. i heard a mention of asian slavery in america but i'm not entirely sure on its validity :pp

even though i respect Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his actions, i'm not that enthusiastic about making that essay...scared of ms. wong's harsh grading.

Well, during that time, if you weren't "white", you'd probably be treated the same as an African-American. I think. o_o.
